SUPERFUND AND SUPERFUND BUDGET
Superfund Process Flow

Superfund Request Forms (Green sheets) Approval flow
1. The Local Chapter President makes out the form and sends to the State Chapter President.

2. If the project meets the test of the Ranking and Approval process flow, the president signs the form, enters the project into a log and sends to the NYS DEC Technical Representative for approval.

3. The NYS DEC Technical Representative determines if the project meets the Superfund criteria and is worthy of support (from the perspective on a none NWTF entity). If yes, it is signed and sent to the NWTF NYS Regional Biologist.

4. The NWTF NYS Regional Biologist determines if the project meets the Superfund criteria and is worthy of support (from the perspective of a NWTF Biologist). If yes, it is signed and sent to the NWTF National Headquarters.

5. The NWTF National Headquarters determines if the project meets National's Superfund criteria and is worthy of support and if there is money in the NYS account to fund it. If yes, National approves and it is sent to the National Accounting office to have a check written and sent to the appropriate party.

This process may appear a bit bureaucratic and cumbersome but is necessary to assure the funds are used for the purpose for which they were intended and that they are properly managed demonstrating strong fiscal accountability as well as fair and equitable allocation.
